15 Years at th data: Q&A with Our Marketing Manager Manuela

Hi Manuela, could you introduce yourself and your role at th data?

Manuela: Sure! I’m Manuela, and I’ve been with th data for 15 years now. I’m the Marketing Manager here, which means I get to work on everything from organizing events to connecting with new people and sharing our story. Over time, I’ve also taken on office management tasks, like welcoming new team members and planning team events.

You have been part of the th data team for 15 years. How have you developed during this time?

Manuela: It’s been a great and exciting journey. These 15 years have been full of interesting projects, constant learning, and amazing teamwork. I’ve grown a lot professionally and personally. Working in a fast-changing industry has pushed me and our team to keep evolving, which is something I really enjoy. It’s been rewarding to look back and see how much we’ve accomplished and how much I’ve learned along the way.

Since you work in marketing management – which tasks do you enjoy the most, and why?

Manuela: I like organizing events—it’s one of my highlights. Whether it’s an online webinar or an in-person event, it’s exciting because no two events are the same. There’s always something new to figure out, and even though things can get a bit stressful leading up to the big day, seeing everything come together is so satisfying. When I see the participants enjoying themselves and finding value in what we’ve created, it’s all worth it.
I also enjoy finding and connecting with potential clients. It’s fascinating to meet new people through social media, learn about their perspectives, and sometimes even collaborate with them. It’s rewarding when those connections lead to new ideas or partnerships for future events.

What other tasks do you handle at the company?

Manuela: Sometimes my tasks would expand beyond marketing. I’m often also responsible for office management, which includes welcoming new colleagues and making sure they feel at home right away. I also organize small team events to keep everyone connected and ensure we’re working well together. For me, creating a positive and harmonious team environment is really important.
I also love variety in my work—it keeps things interesting. Learning new things or trying out different approaches keeps me motivated and engaged.

How has th data GmbH developed over the past 15 years from your perspective?

Manuela: It’s been truly amazing to see how much we’ve grown. Our team has expanded over the years, and I’m especially proud that some of the students who started with us as part-time employees are now key members of our team. That really shows how much people are valued and nurtured in our teams.
The company’s focus has shifted too. When we started, we worked on a mix of production planning, supply chain solutions, and custom software development. But about 20 years in, we launched planeus, our innovative production planning solution, which has become the core of what we do. It is now not just about software — we’re pushing changes in manufacturing industries and drive their digital transformation with our expertise. That shift has been both challenging and exciting, and it’s great to be part of it.

What do you think are the best 3 description for the team?

Manuela: I’d say we’re friendly, reliable, and always willing to help! It’s a supportive environment, and everyone really cares about each other and the work we do.
